#this gives me a lot of feelings #because often part of any character being the hero#means not receiving recognition for that heroism #no matter how difficult their tasks or their battles or their struggles or their losses #they may never be truly appreciated by all that they saved #or those being saved may not even know they were in danger to being with #and yet #the hero continues on #saving them anyway even if it means sacrifice on their part #and the true hero #doesn’t go searching for that recognition or gratitude #because they don’t save for the sake of acknowledgement #they save for the sake of it being the right thing to do #and in some cases even their responsibility.
