The one thing that bothers me the most in the Crimson Horror is that Ada keeps calling the Doctor a monster. And he doesn’t correct her. He could have introduced himself properly as the Doctor but he doesn’t. Why? Because he truly believes himself to be a monster. As much of a fond term it is, no matter how well meaning it’s supposed to be, he believes that’s it’s a title he deserves to be put on him but in a whole other context.
